Dave Martens

Dave has more than 25 years’ experience as a technologist and patent litigator. Dave was a chip designer and software developer at Intel, IBM and Sun Microsystems for 14 years. Dave holds 6 patents. As a patent litigator, Dave worked on “deep technology” cases, at the ITC and in district courts, such as mapping intricate details of Apple’s next-generation processor and mapping analog output buffers. Dave continues to advise corporate clients as a patent attorney but spends most of his time “in the code” as an expert.

Dave’s recent engagements include the following:
• Reviewing Uber’s mobile app and server-side software
• Reviewing Cisco’s anti-virus sandboxing software
• Invalidity analysis for a major semiconductor manufacturer
• Reviewing Comcast’s server-side software
• Reviewing EA’s, Activision’s, and Take-two’s source code including Grand Theft Auto, NBA2K, and Call of Duty

Dave brings ten years’ experience as an attorney to everything he does as an expert.
